Learning styles and teaching styles in school. Profiles of teachers and didactical choices

The article presents an exploratory study to investigate the possible correlation between learning styles and teaching styles of teachers, and their influences on the educational choices made especially in view of an effective management of the class. The research emphasizes the importance of some personal traits of the teacher in shaping educational profiles careful about the management of the relationship with the students. The construct of style is discussed from a systemic and complex perspective, which focuses on the biographies and personal preferences in the teaching process, in order to foster the personal and professional history of teachers, and to outline the paths of teacher education focusing not only on curricular aspects, but also on cognitive and meta-cognitive skills for recognizing the irreplaceable regulatory function of the teacher in the intellectual, cultural and social growth of the new generations.
