Francesca Bracci, Teresa Grange
The article describes the main findings of a research aimed at understanding: (1) the school experience of a group of students of first level secondary school (middle school); and (2) the conditions and the risk factors that contribute to determine situations of unease. The focus is on the analysis of the data emerged from a structured questionnaire administered to 136 pupils who make up 8 third classes belonging to 5 of the 18 first level secondary schools of the Aosta Valley. The study identifies strengths and weaknesses related to the adoption of a standardized tool to evaluate the school unease, which allowed to assume a quali-quantitative glance on the multiple issues connected with the school experience. The experience is a segment of a wider research on School dropout and educational success in Aosta Valley.
