Democracy and postdemocracy, cultural origins and present time

The crisis of democracy is one of the most meaningful aspects of international contemporary debate. In this paper the author analyzes the Deweyan model of democracy as it is explained in his book The Public and Its Problems (1927) compared with the Colin Crouch’s model of postdemocracy explained in his book Combattere la postdemocrazia (2020).
