Towards an ethical-social education in the school community (and beyond)

Giorgio Manfré

This article explores some of the main sociological perspectives in order to outline a reflection on ethical-social education in the current school community and, more generally, in educational and socialization agencies of the contemporary world. Starting from an analysis that focuses on the concepts of moral, identity and intergenerational relationship, the main objective of this proposal is to highlight the importance of a renewal of educational action through a different balance between normativity of social belongings and the desire for democratic participation.
