Finding our bearings in times of crisis. Preparing for the future, starting from school

The worrying economic situation of our country requires a reflection of the new generations’ formation. Insecurity for the future is likely to weigh negatively on the young people’s well-being that, without sufficient resources, will not be able to find the right space in society. Purpose of the contribution is to describe the current crisis as reported by ISTAT (Report 2013) and the importance of guidance in promoting the autonomy of the person through the motivational processes’ regulation. In this perspective, the school can become a real growth opportunity for students if they will sponsor of a continue education and deep learning processes.We will consider the psychological theories that have dealt with the study and definition of intra-psychic variables that can affect personal success.
