The «assembly line» for the development of key citizenship competences in the Italian Kindergarten and Primary School

To cope with this new reality, teachers must implement new skills that help develop this subject in a coordinated and effective way. The present study intends to offer a global vision of the new competences that initial teacher education has to face. The intention is to deepen the legal regulations of the three conceptual cores of civic education, their interconnection and transversally with respect to the disciplines, rethinking the organizational and collaborative methods between teachers. This study also presents a curriculum design model, in conjunction with the Guidelines, which can be useful for the elaboration of the indication of the specific learning objectives per year, of the skills development goals for teaching periods and the planning of the evaluation, in itinere and final, of the criteria approved by the Teaching Body that must be included in the three-year plan of the training offer.
