La mindfulness in età evolutiva – Uno studio preliminare sulle proprietà psicometriche della versione italiana della Child and Adolescent Mindfulness Measure (CAMM)

Antonio Dellagiulia, Giulia Bianchi, Laura Bastianelli

Despite a relative large number of questionnaires assessing mindfulness in adulthood, there is a lack of specific measure for children and adolescents. The development of reliable questionnaire specific for childhood and adolescence will be useful also to assess the effectiveness of mindfulness intervention for these age groups. Few questionnaires have been validated: the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale for Adolescents (MAAS-A; de Bruin, Zijstra, van de Weijer-Bergsma & Bögels, 2011), an adaptation of a questionnaire originally developed for adults (Brown & Ryan, 2003) the Mindful Thinking and Action Scale for Adolescents (MTASA; West, Sbraga & Poole, 2007) and the Child and Adolescent Mindfulness Measure (CAMM; Greco, Baer & Smith, 2011). The last one is the only specifically developed to use for children and adolescents. To our knowledge the CAMM has been adapted in two different languages and culture: the Netherlands (de Bruin, Zijlstra & Bögels, 2014) and Portugal (Cunha, Galhardo & Pinto-Gouveia, 2013) showing good psychometric properties. The aim of the present study is to assess the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the CAMM in two independent samples of preadolescents and adolescents.
