L’uso del web nell’orientamento

Communication is a protagonist and an essential interpretive key of contemporaneity. The extraordinary spread of the internet and social media has increased the potential for the use of web-based media in many fields, including the guidance services. In this contribution, are first recalled some hints related to the contexts of cultural reference technological and social new media, and then to elapse review some uses in the field guidance. After examining two practical examples of web based guidance devices, are critically analyzed some trends and made some open questions at methodological, operational and strategic level. According these considerations the web, and social technologies related to it, represent a great occasion to increase opportunities for access and guidance services development, but at the same time require a set of policies which favor a democratic diffusion (especially with regard to the operators and the operating tools), and at the same time restricting some possible risks.
