Guglielmo Malizia, Carlo Nanni

The topic is certainly hot and controversial and the debate tends to take a strong ideological tone. The article will try to address the issue with a scientific approach as far as possible in the consciousness of its educational significance for personal identity and for training in social life. In the first section we examine the evolution of the theories related to gender in order to highlight the weakness of its ideology that sees sex as merely a social construction, but at the same time it critically takes the gender perspective that allows one to discover and combat the serious inequality suffered by women in comparison to men and they even have to suffer discrimination due to defective ideas which are prevalent with respect to male-female sexual orientation. In addition to the gender theories we include also various educational policies, and this article provides examples in relation to Italy and in particular the law on «Good School» in the context of current trends in Europe.
