Terre senza Frontiere
Giacomo Anastasi
«Terre senza Frontiere» (the name of the cooperative) and its Habibi restaurant are not only an entrepreneurial activity, but an opportunity to build sociality through work. The restaurant, located in the heart of a city, wanted to be in particular the recognition of a plural identity of which the city of Mazara is made up, through a gastronomic and cultural offer, that is open to the world and to otherness. Habibi is a business that generates income and offers paid jobs in accordance with the law and the dignity of people. For the girls and boys of «Terre senza Frontiere» and Habibi the cooperative and the restaurant are not just a place of work, but the recognition of their right to citizenship within a community, and for the community, the acknowledgment of a part of its own identity in the continuous transformation and evolution.
