An inclusive proposal among approaches to gifted education: The Schoolwide Enrichment Model
Annalisa Morganti, Francesco Marsili, Alessia Signorelli
The paper presents a national and international review of the main theoretical and applied models related to gifted education. Specifically, the authors promote a reflection on the educational potentials of some applied models aimed at gifted individuals, which can be extended to all diversities found within a school environment.
The characteristics of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) are described, providing space for reflection on how it can be extended and adjusted to fit the inclusive context of Italian schools, through evidence-based research as well.
