Santa Clara Brief Compassion Scale: initial study for the evaluation of the psychometric properties of the Italian version

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the Santa Clara Brief Compassion Scale (SCBCS). Participants were 187 workers. Dimensionality, reliability, and concurrent validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a unidimensional version of the scale. In addition, good internal consistency and validity were established. Results indicate that the Santa Clara Brief Compassion Scale is a valid instrument for measuring employability also in the Italian context.
