Self-Compassion Scale: First contribution to the Italian validation for workers

Annamaria Di Fabio

The aim of this study is to offer an initial contribution to the validation of the Italian version of the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). Participants were 221 workers. Dimensionality, reliability, and concurrent validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a six-dimensional structure of the scale. In addition, good internal consistency and validity were established. Results indicate that the Italian version of the Self-Compassion Scale is a valid instrument for measuring self-compassion also in Italian contexts.
