Antonella Alba Scalera, Valentina Depergola, Amelia Manuti

This study aims to provide an empirical contribution to the study of Boundaryless and Protean Careers models in relation to certain career related variables, such as career commitment, a variable linked to individual motivations towards one’s career, employability activities, a variable related to the commitment of individuals to professional development activities, resulting in a research model useful for studying new career concepts in times of flexibility and counseling interventions. Results of the study, which involved 260 participants, show empirical relationships between the constructs, affirm greater adaptation of the research model to the sample by participants with a fragmented career type than those who had a linear career in the same organisation.
