General Decision-Making Style (GDMS): An empirical study of similarities and differences with other decisional constructs in literature

Letizia Palazzeschi, Ornella Bucci

This study aims to analyse the similarities and differences between decisional styles of the General Decision-Making Style (GDMS) model and decisional styles of the Melbourne Decision Making Questionnaire (MDMQ). It also aims to analyse the similarities and differences among GDMS and other decisional constructs such as career decision-making difficulties and indecisiveness. The GDMS, the MDMQ, the Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) and the Indecisiveness Scale (IS) were administered to 191 university students. The results showed specificities of each of the five decisional styles of the GDMS model with respect to the other examined constructs, offering new perspectives for in-depth study.
