Workplace Relational Civility, transactional leadership and trasformational leadership

This study aims to investigate the relationship between workplace relational civility and transactional leadership and transformational leadership, controlling the effects of personality traits. The Italian version of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), the Italian version of the HEXACO-60 and the Workplace Relational Civility Scale (WRCS) were administered to 114 workers employed in private and public organisations of Tuscany. Workplace relational civility dimensions add a significant percentage of variance in addition to variances due to personality traits with respect both to transactional leadership and transformational leadership. The results highlight the importance of workplace relational civility and its relationship with transactional leadership and transformational leadership, providing new research and intervention perspectives.
