Positive Relational Management and Trait Emotional Intelligence
Annamaria Di Fabio, Eleonora Pesce, Chiara Burgassi
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between emotional intelligence and positive relational management, checking for the effects of personality traits. The Big Five Questionnaire (BFQ), the Italian version of the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short-Form (TEIQue-SF), and the Italian version of the Positive Relational Management Scale (PRMS) were administered to 93 university students. The results showed that trait emotional intelligence added a percentage of incremental variance compared to the variance explained by personality traits, in relation to both the Positive Relational Management (PRM) construct and its three dimensions, offering future perspectives for research and intervention.
