«Orientamenti Pedagogici» turns 70. Analysis of several decades of the journal from a psychological perspective

On the occasion of the journal’s 70th anniversary, this article examines the psychological contributions with reference to four decades: the first (1954 to 1963), the third (1974 to 1984), the sixth (2004 to 2013), and the seventh (2014 to 2024). For each decade, the number of papers, the areas of in-depth study, the sections with the largest number of papers, the number of reviews and the survey instruments used in the empirical studies are reported. A number of reflections are then made on the basis of this overview.
