Searching new pedagogical postures: training as trans-formation

Training through reflective and transformative pathways throughout one’s life is a constant necessity in order to be able to operate effectively in the complexity of contexts and situations (Mezirow and Taylor, 2009; Mezirow, 2003; Schön, 1988). This essay, starting from some background reflections on the consequences of the pandemic situation, presents some data that emerged following a research and training course carried out with the educators of the services of the municipality of Trieste, which led them to initiate a process of profound reflective revision with respect to the basic premises of their own professional actions and educational practices.
