Assessment anxiety in young people: From conceptualization to intervention (part 1)

Assessment anxiety is a form of discomfort that affects more frequently young adults who, facing the challenges of complexity, are called upon to deal with exams and assessment procedures, the outcome of which could prove decisive for their academic or professional career. In this article the construct known as «text anxiety» is defined and conceptualized and the distal and proximal factors that contribute to its occurrence are specified. In a subsequent article we will present a program aimed at reducing the fear of examination in university students.
