Education and social work as two pillars of Salesian professionality in the context of Central Europe

Against the background of the Czech Republic, where the Salesians carry out a series of social projects, the author asks himself whether and how the conflict of these concepts can be replaced by their mutual enrichment, thus obtaining a synergy that will benefit the recipients of the Salesian mission — young people.
