Anna Rita Colasanti, Noemi Solarino, Mario Becciu

This article outlines the results from an exploratory survey aimed at monitoring the lifestyle of adolescents attending the first year of Vocational Training Centers (CNOS-FAP) in order to evaluate the presence or the absence of healthy habits or risk behaviors. The sample for this research (N = 1831) was mostly male (82.3%), with an average age of 14.4 years (SD = 0.87), and was distributed across 32 centers nationally. Nutrition habits, attitudes towards one’s physical self, sexual behavior, smoking, driving (in particular the lack of use of helmets and safety belts) are the riskiest areas identified in the study. Furthermore, adolescents would appreciate to receive support for difficulties concerning school, family and emotional-sentimental problems. Therefore, educational needs in the sample refer to the areas of emotional, sexual and health education.
