The vocation of the university professor in the Veritatis Gaudium

This article analyzes the Veritatis Gaudium from the perspective of the human and Christian vocation of the university’s teacher and his formation, with a nod to the vocational dimension of service to the students of the Centers of Pontifical Higher Studies. The concept of teaching vocation is analyzed starting from the papal document and its social value. The Veritatis Gaudium indicates to the University Center the wide-ranging task of the evangelization of culture. It must be realized with the style of relationality within a community experience characterized as a «cultural laboratory» at the service of a cultural revolution and of an «outgoing Church».
