Forgiveness: Excursions and opportunities between humanity, psychology and pedagogy
Stefano Tognacci
The present paper, aims to present forgiveness, from different perspectives, without undue invasions of field and in respect of the right skills and peculiarities of different disciplines. It could also be seen as an attempt to dialogue between subjects interested in forgiveness. Aware of the long and fundamental biblical-Christian tradition, the different views are here presented, among which the psychological one emerges with some important authors, aims to look forgiveness closer, as a concrete and fundamental possibility of the human being to progress in his nature of human being free and open to otherness. No perspective is proposed in an intrusive way, nor it’s particularly structured or thematized. Even if with different shades and intensities, they underline the promising and healthy possibility of responding to the call that is forgivness. Finally, we offer a personal definition of forgiveness; while referring to those offered from other authors, we try to offer a further and more personal characterization and perspective. Nobody can be considered unworthy of forgiveness.
