The specificity of the educational view. A compass for the educator on the field

The article purpose is to outline the specificity of the educational view, as a pedagogical interpretative orientation. Thinking about the features of that glance means to develop a reflective competence absolutely needed to be intentional and flexible acting professionals. It is so argued the need to build guidelines to approach this journey, full of unforeseen circumstances, deviations, stops, representing every educational path. Starting from the reflection that the image of a child that the educator carries with it strongly influences the approach, the analysis continues by describing the educational glance through some key words: relational, open, respectful, positive and valorising. At the end, focus is set on how to build up educational activities and some possible project directions are proposed, useful for reconsidering practices consistent with the outlined approach.
