«Risky behaviours» are identified as those actions that can endanger physical, psychological and social well-being, in both short and long-term. Developed in adolescence, they may transforming to adult habits, if personal and contextual factors do not bring change. The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of 409 Italians adolescent students, in regards to the prevention of the alcohol use and driving. This study started off from the assumption that sport can be a protective factor and that physical education at school can become a vehicle for prevention. To achieve this goal, a participatory action research intervention was employed following three basic steps: a teaching laboratory; data collection through a questionnaire; an in-depth focus groups. These results offered a manifold picture of the risk inclination. All the participants expressed high levels of satisfaction towards this research experience and offered suggestions on modalities that can render training more effective.
