Costruire insieme le conoscenze – Il blog come strumento nella didattica universitaria

In recent years the interest of researchers in the educational field has turned to new information technologies, with a view to their use in schools and universities. The features and possibilities they offer permit new processes of teaching and learning not only in traditional settings such as the classroom or the laboratory, but also in the digital space offered by the Internet and its applications. This article intends to present the blog, in particular, with its functionality and features and to reflect on ways to enhance this tool in order to achieve certain educational goals, especially in university teaching. As a frame of reference, the article takes into account two kinds of sources: first, some recent publications and research on the use of blogging in education, and then, the experiment (experience) carried out in three years (2012-2015) at the Salesian Pontifical University in which blogging was integrated in the teaching of the course of General Pedagogy. The final part will offer some other possible ways of testing, studying and researching the use of blogs and blogging in education.
