Programme for International Student Assessment (OCSE-PISA). Profilo conoscitivo, dubbi, interrogativi, opportunità, sfide: una rilettura critica e di prospettiva
Mauro Frisanco
This paper represents an attempt to illustrate the concept and features of PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) to the general public. Hence, the paper is aimed at synthesising and condensing both the numerous questionings arisen as well as the strategic and quality attributes of the survey. Furthermore, the paper examines the role of the programme as a stimulus for systematic reflection, both on the complexity of these forms of evaluation and on the need to increase understanding and awareness towards their adoption. Starting from the Italian context and considering the structural features evidenced by the survey, this paper is intended to tackle the issues raised within the PISA programme as well as to provide a set of stimuli for the progression of the debate on evaluation and, specifically, on its international dimension.
