Writing about children. Educators’ words in the daily diaries in the residential care facilities

The daily diary of the child is a common tool in the residential care facilities for children and has the purpose to keep track of the daily experience of each child. This tool can be a source of reliable educational documentation, if the educational team takes care of the modalities of its use. The diary can also provide an opportunity to monitor the educators’ glance on the children, contributing to the development of the reflective and professional skills of the educational work group.
