Janusz Korczak at Venice Biennale

This article begins with the observation of US artist Sharon Lockhart’s work, exhibited at the 57th Venice art Biennale, to analyze one of the most astonishing educational tools conceived by Polish doctor and educator Janus Korczak. At present no article written in Italian has focused on the contents and the purposes of Maly Przeglad (The little Review). The newspaper was written and published by children and teenagers under Janus Korczak’s supervision between 1926 and 1929. The article is divided into 6 paragraphs: 1. The use of newspapers in Janus Korczak’s works translated into Italian. 2. Maly Przeglad in Italian publications about Janus Korczak. 3. Two essays and a biography to be translated. 4. A film and three collection of illustrated books. 5. The reprints of different issues of Maly Przeglad by Sharon Lockhart and the Rudzienko girls. 6. A proposal for an educational project.
