Kill the «Master»… and then?

The repeated criticisms of the school and the function of teachers so frequent in recent times, criticisms that sometimes traslate into verbal and phisical attacks challenge the role and the function that they perform. Actually, «killing the Master», that is, believing that education is possible without educational figures of guidance and accompaniment is a very serious damage for the younger generations but also naivety. Denying the school and its operators, tolerating and even justifying the attacks, not only encourages discredit but risks eliminating an important educational reference in a society own limits the lack of references. However, everyone has his responsabilities in this attack (the teachers themselves, the students, the families, and the media). So today, it is necessary for someone to assume their responsabilities and underline the importance for meeting teachers who are able to be references and to testify their educational mission every day.
