Relazione tra la dimensione corporea e competenza del contare nell’ambito della percezione sensoriale: problemi di apprendimento e sindrome di Down
Elide Valentina Maria Romano
In the first part of this work, the pedagogical value of the body dimension will be analyzed in the personal formation and in the school field. The body is considered an excellent tool in the person-environment relationship but, also, to learn different mathematical competencies, such as learning to count different numerical quantities. Considering the functional neuroanatomy, this competence can be improved if some brain areas, dedicated to sensory perception, are activated, especially in students with learning problems, like in Down syndrome.
Subsequently, instead, I will describe the main objective of this article, my work, which has a child with Down syndrome as its subject. In particular, to improve his mathematical skills, this work will focus on some methods and techniques suggested by Gelman, Gallistel, Baroody, Snyder, Bateson, Alleva, Bruner, Geary, Marotta, Menghini, Vicari, Bornstein, Piaget, Lane, Wringht, Fogarolo, Cervellin, Finato, Sannipoli and Fisher.
