The temporal perspective among consecrated women in Italy

The aim of this study is to present the theory of the Balanced Time Perspective (BTP) and to verify that emotional intelligence and intrinsic religious orientation have a positive influence on it. The research was carried out on a sample of 283 Italian nuns, and it has been verified that both emotional intelligence and intrinsic religiosity contribute significantly to BTP. Also, the fact that emotional intelligence is mediated by intrinsic religious orientation increases the benefits of emotional intelligence on BTP in Italian nuns.
Another important addition of the study is the contribution to the validation of the Balanced Time Perspective Scale (BTPS).
