Social Pedagogy and Urban Planning. Intervention strategies in the suburbs

To design urban and social redevelopment in the suburbs means to actively involve the inhabitating community and also professionals from areas which are not related to education. Through a massive participation to the changing processes, it is possible to work some effective retraining strategies, which might be able to respond to the real needs of the population. Through a theoretical analysis, it’s possible to affirm that, to be able to include the community in the designing process, the educator needs to know to educate in presenting ideas and opinions, being a cohesive group and willing to talk, in order to overcome the internal and external social marginality which it’s subject to. The retraining strategies of urban degradation are many, may them be put in place by educators, urbanists or by the population itself; it’s through the meeting between different professional profile that’s possible to make a functional change, legal and sustainable.
