The return of Civic education in Italy between past and future. A first evaluation

With the law no. 92/2019 the teaching of civic education returns to Italy even if the re-opening of schools has been postponed to September 2020. The article explores the events starting from the historical-normative evolution and is followed by the analysis of the law, and at the end it attempts to evaluate it in view of the future; finally, there is also a comparison with the trends in the EU.
