Affectivité et éducation chez Don Bosco

Affectivity is the world of feelings, emotions, affections, passions that deeply mark the human psyche and its relationship with others. After recalling the broad outline of the educational system of John Bosco, the article tries to first highlight the importance and the role of affectivity in Salesian education. Secondly, it tries to show that the affectivity of the educator needs to be cleared of negative influences, and that the affectivity of young people needs to be educated. Finally, it tries to point out what emotional relationship between the educator and the young consists in, setting out from the experience and the educational thought of «the friend of the young».
