La relazione educativa: un modello circolare

The literature in pedagogical field unanimously recognizes the relationship as a fundamental model of education: the aim of this article is, therefore, to reconsider the deeper meaning of what represents a prerequisite for any educational path, right where the authentic encounter with another person makes it possible to achieve one’s own autonomy. We propose a phenomenon interpretation focuses on specific tools for analysis of the relationship itself in a dynamic way, considering it as a movement, interaction between time and action, characterized by a specific shape: the circularity. The path begins from the Individual and returns back to him, which is enriched by dialogue and comparison. The Individual rediscovers himself profoundly changed by the encounter with the other, just within the educational relationship. This change, this path towards autonomy of the Individual himself, is made possible by empathy, considered as a pedagogical virtue: it justifies the educational relationship intended to reveal everybody his worth through others positive look. This allows to develop a sense of confidence and self-esteem needed to educate themselves and choose himself and for himself.
