L’orientamento a livello universitario
Massimo Margottini
The relevance of career education has been growing and growing in the last decades; European and national politics have therefore started attributing a strategic role to it, so to face both some critical issues about the Education system (school drop-out, rising of education levels, regularity of school and university careers, etc.), and the problematics linked to the professional sphere (mismatch between supply and demand, professional flexibility, unemployment, etc.). Universities, as intermediating subjects between job supply and demand, are called to play a leading role in developing proactive job policies which aim to promote a better employment of their own graduates on the one side, and to contribute to the development of the production system in our Country on the other hand, through fostering a higher integration between education, research and the job world. In this perspective, we have seen career education and placement gain from Universities a more and more important role, also as third mission issues.
