Concetto e pratiche di orientamento – Uno sguardo ai sessant’anni passati

Pina Del Core

The problem of orientation, both in terms of theoretical approaches and that of professional practice, is taking on a growing importance in research, education, economics and politics. To understand the concept of orientation in its bigger and complex significance and its development of the different theories, it is important to start from some historical premises showing the origins and evolution of orientation, and from various theoretical models that have accompanied its development and its operative objectives. Seeing it in connection with the process of political and economic transformation of society towards the different forms of democratization of social life and the interdependence of productive processes. The paper presents a reflection that, while looking to the past sixty years, opens up a debate on the future by identifying the guidelines emerging from the current perspectives, as shown in the literature, from experiences and research seminars that materialized in recent years.
