Aree di competenza, intelligenza efficace e readiness – I bambini nella valutazione delle insegnanti di scuola dell’infanzia
Manuela Cantoia, Roberta Finazzi, Alessandro Antonietti
Assessment in kindergarten schools is linked to the need of defining how the development of children’s intelligence has to be conceptualized. With reference to Sternberg’s model of the effective intelligence, this study aims at testing whether the abilities included in such a model can be identified in kindergarten children and whether correlations among these abilities, the readiness and the skill domains assessed through an Italian checklist devised to detect learning disabilities emerge. Data suggested that in kindergarten schools it is already possible to identify, according to kindergarten teachers, specific ability profiles associated to the readiness and that analytical intelligence is the ability which is more closely related to the skill domains assessed through the mentioned checklist. The role played by the assessors educational and the possible implications are discussed.
