Il consulente di coppia e familiare: l’esperienza italiana

Among the numerous professionals who deal with the helping relationships approach, there is the Family Consultant (Counsellor), who is a socio-educational professional: through a specific methodology he helps his client in searching and using his inner resources to overcome the status of his problematic condition. He works with singles, couples and families: his intervention can be integrated with other professionals’. His story is an ancient one and nowadays it is possible to be trained as Family Consultant (Counsellor) through training courses recognised by AICCeF, the category’s National Association created in 1977. At this very moment in Italy there are more than 900 Family Consultants (Counsellors).
