El diálogo intercultural a través de las artes negroafricanas: una experiencia interdisciplinar e interuniversitaria
Alfonso Revilla, Núria Llevot, Carme Molet, Marisé Astudillo, Jesús Mauri
This article aims to expose the potential that black-African arts have to establish a valid intercultural dialogue from which to understand ethnocentric mechanisms and the overall relationships established between the West and the African continent. Through an inter-university and transdisciplinary experience between the Universities of Lleida and Zaragoza, and with the participation of other institutions, several dialogic contents are developed with the aim of providing a deeper understanding of the singularity of the carvings and other artistic, cultural and identitarian constructs of sub-Saharian Africa. These contents, however, do not only address African art, but also the Western colonial appropriation of this art, indispensable for its understanding from a contemporary perspective.
