The article presents a training course for teachers and educators — developed in the Addiction Department of Pordenone — aiming at promoting coping skills and preventing substance abuse in a sample of first two-year high school students. A self-help manual, which effectiveness has been tested in a past research, has been used. First results indicate a good satisfaction level and a better perceived self-esteem reported by teachers at the end of the training. Further results about efficacy of manual’s use in students are under development.
