Pietro Braido historian of catechesis
Giuseppe Biancardi
Peter Braido, theoretician and historian of pedagogy, during his long academic career dealt with the history of that specific formative activity, namely, catechesis, for very many years. His studies in this regard concentrated particularly on catechesis in the modern era, which bore fruit in a wide-ranging manual which covers the entire historical period analyzed and in some important monographic contributions. The main characteristics of his research are: the broad definition given to the term catechesis, special care for its contextualization, attention to the concrete life situations of Christian communities, and the constant signaling of new pathways for a deeper study.
