The insolent truth of love. Education and life in Simone Weil

Anita Gramigna

Epistemology and methodology. According to the Batesonian (Bateson G. and Bateson M.C.,1987) meaning of the «sacred», understood as «territory», we adopt a hermeneutic perspective by interpreting the writings of the French philosopher in light of a pedagogical reflexivity that while wondering about itself, is not afraid to explore spirituality. It is a qualitative methodological approach that emphasizes the relational dimension, attempting to intercept meaningful connections between languages, environments and phenomena, which are sometimes considered unrelated aspects. Consistent with this analytical approach, we think that the methodology is normative epistemology, as opposed to ethics; yet, ethics is the thread that weaves all of our reflections together.
