Internet among the challenges of the Synod on young people

This work intends to reflect on the challenges that emerge from the development and growing use of internet and new digital technologies with regard to the Church’s task of formation of the young, their education to faith and their vocational discernment. Considering some of the recent teachings of the Church, it is clearly affirmed that the technical and humanistic components within the integral growth of a person would never be dissociated, recognizing that the internet, though it presents notable risks that have to be carefully considered, can provide us with an opportunity to unite persons, cultures and peoples, and to promote communion and development of an authentic «humanism of solidarity».
