The culture of prevention in educational contexts

This article examines the culture of prevention in education, interpreting it as a holistic approach aimed at forming knowledgeable and responsible people. Through a brief analysis of the contributions of classical thinkers such as Plato and Aristotle, and a reference to Don Bosco’s preventive method, the pedagogical value of prevention in everyday life is highlighted. Particular attention is given to the role of educational prevention in contemporary sport, both as a means of ensuring physical safety and as a means of promoting ethical values and safeguarding practices. The article concludes by proposing a philosophy of prevention aimed at building a resilient, inclusive and sustainable society.
