Intercultural psychology and educational practices in acculturation processes

Giuseppe Crea

The current trend of intercultural psychology studies aims to explore differentiated approaches that facilitate an exchange between knowledge systems, the result of a long and complex continuous cultural and historical evolution, recognized as valid and worthy of consideration for the attention it requires for new educational approaches for intercultural exchange. Thus emerges the need for comparison between different cultures that opens the way to a dialogue based on more functional adaptation strategies for psychoeducational intervention and for the same coexistence between different cultural identities. The implications of this approach are highlighted and discussed in this article.
