Thinking about tomorrow’s school from a trans-formative perspective
Chiara Patuano
In the digital age, continuous cultural, social, and economic transformations put educational institutions under great strain. Today more than ever there is a need for a new school to build a new society that takes into account the educational needs of each and every person. But how should it be structured and what teaching approaches are preferable to use to meet the demands of the present? The paper will present a reflection on the problems and difficulties that teachers encounter on a daily basis in organizing education. Particular attention will be given to the collaboration between school and territorial realities whose con-division and co-design of educational interventions promote successful teaching. In this regard, the Department of Education Sciences of the University of Genoa has launched a research project that is committed to the achievement of this goal by organizing educational activities and moments of discussion in which students and teachers working in schools of all levels can participate.
