Grandparents-parents: Conflict areas and areas of agreement
Luciano Tosco, Giovanni Garena
In this contribution we intend to analyse aspects of complexity in grandparents-parents’ relations in the care/education of their «puppies». This complexity is due to different cultural macrocontexts and, in microcontexts, to different «family lexicons», expressed in a very different scale of «shade» between two extremities: from little «skirmish» to «bloody conflict». In the middle, protagonists and victims, grandchildren-children rank.
In addition to the contributions of literature and doctrines of human sciences, our observations concern the elaboration of a «culture of grandparents» by its direct protagonists. Therefore, we choose to emphasize the grandparents’ «point of view».
